This is an exciting Business Development Manager (with some Accounts) role, working for a large European Office Furniture Manufacturer. You would be responsible for representing a “design-led” Furniture Manufacturer, with a successful (and very loyal) office furniture network and you would be working on exciting projects, therefore the position is open to experienced and qualified Candidates only. note this is primarily an “end-user” sales role, with some accounts to assist the successful applicant achieve their annual sales target

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual sales targets of circa £1.0M-£1.5M p.a .
  • Responsibility to increase sales of products via the London end-user and some existing dealers markets
  • Strive to achieve significant growth of visibility of the Clients brand, within the designated territory
  • Also achieve successful brand awareness and marketing with London’s Design community
  • Plan Strategically and report progress and achievement to Management.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and weekly updates.
  • Develop and maintain a strong business pipeline.
  • Communicate positively and effectively with production to ensure quality and efficiency is maintained.
  • Manage time accordingly to visit clients, manage opportunities and lead generation.

Profile: 

Proven track record in End-User, Dealer Account Management Sales, within Office Interiors. Industry experience is a Must!
Possessing the necessary energy and enthusiasm to compete and win in a very competitive environment.
Living within commuting distance of Central London.
The ideal candidate will already have a good understanding of the key actors and influencers in the specification, design and procurement of commercial interiors (A&D, Fit-Out/D&B Clients etc), current contacts with influencer’s will be beneficial.
Ability to identify and build strong key relationships at all levels with both (end-user) clients, third parties and internal resources.
Ability to grasp the technical aspects of furniture and parallel interiors services and translate this into a meaningful proposition for customers.
Strong social, communication and relationship building skills on all levels in business.
High level of numeracy and literacy.
Ability to work with little supervision to meet targets and objectives.
Willing to support and manage accounts for future growth if required.

Experience:

  • Office Furniture experience (a minimum of 3 years)
  • Experience of having previously sold “design-led” products, is preferable
  • Proven success and contacts with the major end-user clients of London/South East
  • Account Management (senior level).
  • Some A&D Sales experience, is preferred.
  • Sales and consultative selling B2B.
  • Experience of creating/managing own database of clients and specific CRM database
  • Good personal organisational skills.
  • Good verbal communications skills.
  • Computer literacy
  • Sales training and techniques
  • Experience of consultative selling to Blue Chip companies within the office interiors market
