Advice

The following is a list of things that both Employers and potential Employee’s or Candidates, should consider when meeting:

EMPLOYERS

How do I prepare for a meeting?
In what format or mood do I want the meeting conducted? Formal or Informal?
The location of the meeting? Is my Boardroom to formal? Is the office confidential enough? Is meeting at the coffee-shop, too informal?
Have I read and understood their CV prior to the meeting? A Must!
What clues does the CV offer me? What should I look for?
What questions can I ‘legally’ ask/not ask?
Which questions should I prepare for, from the candidate?
Have you investigated their previous companies experience and capabilities?
Will the candidate, allow me to call their References? If so, call them!
I know my current team; will they get on with the candidate? Should you involve your existing staff in the interview process?
Following the initial meeting, what should be my next step?

CANDIDATES

  What makes a good CV?
How do I prepare for an interview?
Have I researched the company I am going to meet? If so, how?
  What should I wear?
What do I do on arrival at the reception?
How do I conduct myself in the interview? The Do’s and Don’ts?
What questions should I ask, not ask?
What questions should I anticipate receiving?
How do I leave a lasting and positive impression on my interviewer?
After the initial meeting, what should I expect the next move to be?
How do I react to any counter offers from my existing employer?
If I am offered a position, how do I formalise my acceptance?
  How do I resign?

If you require full details and advice on any of the above points, please contact us for more details. We will be happy to assist you.
